Natural raw and untreated Indochinite Black Tektite from Vietnam with strong natural surface etching and an unusual teardrop-like splash form shape. This medium-large piece shows excellent collector character with lots of grooves, wormhole-style markings, and two deep rounded crater-like impressions that give it a very distinctive look. Some natural glass is exposed where a thin outer layer appears to have broken away revealing slight translucency near the thinner edge. Under strong enough light, the material shows the true yellowish-brown translucent color within, even though it appears black to the eye.
