Details
This fascinating natural green Moldavite from the Czech Republic is an authentic, rare tektite impact glass with an attractive olive-green coloration and distinctive elongated surface formations. Weighing just 0.71 grams, this small raw Moldavite has an unusual tapered, somewhat tubular shape with irregular edges and an abundance of fine, lengthwise striations, natural etching, grooves, and shallow indentations across its surface. One area features an interesting shift in the textured formations, creating a small, recessed pocket-like feature that adds to its unique character. The specimen is translucent, allowing light to pass through its natural green glass, while its relatively flat side allows it to stand upright for display. Despite its small size, this one-of-a-kind Moldavite offers plenty of fascinating surface detail to appreciate under good lighting, making it a wonderful addition to any tektite collection.

- Moldavite is primarily found in the Czech Republic, particularly in the historic regions of Bohemia and Moravia
- Its distinctive sculpted surfaces, including natural pits, grooves, and etched textures, developed through geological weathering over millions of years
