Details
This beautiful one-of-a-kind natural Purpurite from Usakos, Namibia, is a carefully hand-selected, tumbled and hand polished stone featuring rich shades of deep purple, violet, and muted plum, accented by contrasting dark mineral inclusions and a prominent creamy-white mineral formation at one end. Its size falls between medium and large, with an attractive elongated, smoothly rounded oval shape that tapers gently toward both ends. The predominantly purple surface displays subtle variations in color, delicate natural markings, and scattered brownish-gold tones, while irregular black and dark gray mineral inclusions create distinctive contrasting patterns throughout. The large white mineral inclusion wraps around one rounded end, adding further visual interest to this unusual specimen. Purpurite is relatively soft and can be challenging to tumble and polish without losing significant material, making well-formed polished specimens especially appealing. This piece has received a gentle, softer polish that preserves much of its natural surface character, including areas of the original velvety texture and a subtle shimmering luster that becomes visible under certain lighting conditions. Its rich purple coloration, distinctive mineral contrasts, and comfortable elongated shape make it an excellent collectible, meditation stone, or unique addition to a hand-selected mineral collection.
