DetailsThis beautiful 39.94-gram natural Cobaltoan Calcite from the Democratic Republic of Congo is a tumbled and hand polished freeform stone with a size that falls between medium and large, featuring a chunky, somewhat blocky shape with multiple flat sides, softly rounded edges, and a smooth polished surface. Its gorgeous combination of pink, pinkish-purple, and deeper purplish-pink coloration forms connected, irregular bands and patches throughout the stone, contrasting beautifully with areas of beige to tan, partially translucent natural mineral matrix. Scattered dark green mineral inclusions of undetermined composition, along with a few black inclusions, add further character and contrast. The pink and purple tones are beautifully distributed around the entire piece, giving it an attractive appearance from virtually every angle. Its multiple flat surfaces allow it to be displayed in several different positions without a stand, making this distinctive one-of-a-kind stone an appealing addition to any mineral collection.
