Large Emerald Beryl Sphere, Biotite Schist Matrix, Bahia Brazil (67mm)

This large-size 67mm fully polished Green Emerald (Green Beryl) sphere from Bahia, Brazil is an unusually Emerald-rich collector’s piece, with abundant gemmy green Emerald crystals distributed throughout virtually the entire sphere. The Emerald has a remarkably consistent rich green color, with translucent crystalline areas that allow you to see gently beneath the polished surface under bright light. Set within a dark Biotite Schist matrix filled with sparkling silvery Mica and contrasting lighter-green mineral inclusions, this is an exceptionally attractive example of Emerald in Matrix and one of the standout spheres from this old-stock Brazilian collection that I’m selling pieces from.
